Cults is a five-member indie pop group from Manhattan that formed in 2010 when NYU film students Brian Oblivion and Madeline Follin began making music together in their spare time. Cults 7", their self-released EP, contained the single "Go Outside," which was named Best New Music by Pitchfork. The album Cults with its nostalgic '60s sound was released on Lily Allen's In the Name Of (Colombia) label to positive reviews and contained "Abducted" which earned second for Best New Music on Pitchfork. Cults is currently on tour in the U.K.
