Jackie Greene

Jackie Greene is a singer-songwriter from California who began playing guitar at age 14. As a teenager, Greene's early career consisted of sitting in with local bar bands until he was noticed by the owner of a local Sacramento label DIG Music at an open-mic session in 2001. After signing on as the label's first artist, Greene released his first album Gone Wanderin' in 2002, which resulted in a college tour later that year. Greene has released four albums since, the most recent of which was released on the label 429 Records (a subsidiary of Japan's Savoy Label Group). Greene has toured nationally with a plethora of revered musicians, such as B.B. King and Phil Lesh, and has played at many major U.S. festivals, including Mountain Jam and Bonnaroo. Check out his bluesy performance of "Like a Ball and Chain" at KFOG (San Francisco) Radio's studio.
