MUTEMATH

MUTEMATH is an alternative rock band hailing from New Orleans. Formed in 2003 by Paul Meany (vocals, keyboard) and Darren King (drums) and Greg Hill (guitar), the trio released their first EP titled Reset in 2004, and their first self titled album in 2006. When asked about their sound and style, Meany responded "For us, we just try to keep it simple. We're obviously a band; that's really all we ever wanted to be from the very beginning without catering to any particular genre or political or religious agenda. We just want to make music with no barriers." The group has since released two more albums, Typical (2007) and Armistice (2009), the latter of which reached 4th in the Billboard Rock charts and 3rd in the Billboard Alternative charts the week of its debut. Their next album, Odd Soul (2011), will be released on October 4th, and will definitely be worth a listen.
